(11/1998)
OMG! How young did we look? And what were we thinking when it came to our hairstyle choice? I can't believe it has already been 12 years since I feel in love with my wonderful husband. Grant it, we haven't been together all 12 of those years, but we have for 8. Actually, it's more like 8 1/2 years if you count the 6 months we "dated" when we first meet back in 98'.
Sometimes I wonder what would it be like if we had stayed together since the beginning. Would we still be together? Would we still be as happy as we were the day we got married? Would we still be in love? The more I think about it, the more I know the answer would be... No.
We needed that time to find ourselves; to grow. Not only as individuals, but also as friends. We needed the sadness and heartache that came along with that growth to understand what we really wanted in life. What true love really meant to one another. That you must be true to yourself before you can be true to someone else.
But most of all, to know the best way to begin a relationship is through a friendship. And the best way to begin a marriage is by marrying your best friend. Which is exactly what we did! :)
Ryan went through the same hair phase as Adam (Freshman'99/Sophmore'00 years of high school)...however I can't say I ever had hair that short. :-) You and Adam & Ryan and I have similar love stories ;-) Isn't it wonderful that we were able to marry our best friends!! I feel like I'm getting to know you so much better through your Flashback Fridays...thanks for that.

It's crazy how life can flip you and turn you, but then bring you back to where you always belonged in the beginning! I do have to admit, that was the worst and shortest my hair was. I really liked it at the length before that cut. I'll find a pic and send it to you. :) xoxoxo
