This morning Adam left for our good friend Zach's bachelor party in Scottsdale, AZ. Normally mini vacations (alone) don’t bother me, but this trip is different. It has nothing to do with the fact it’s a bachelor party, since Adam’s been on a few over the past couple years. But more with the length, FOUR days!
Adam and I have been official together since Saint Patrick's Day 2003 (the night he told me he loved me and i told him he needed to reminded me in the morning). That would make a total of, 6 years 11 months and 15 days. Or 363 weeks and 3 days. OR 2,544 days. Never in all this time have we been apart more then a weekend, 2 whole days.
I didn’t think the length of time would bother me this much. But when I had to say good-bye to him early this morning, half asleep, it actually sank in. Perhaps it has something to do with all our little “disagreements” or the lack of communication this past week. Whatever the reason may be, the conclusion remains the same; he is my heart and soul. My best friend. My other half. I would be lost without him.
