Ladybug Party

It’s amazing how much time and energy (lets not forget money) goes into planning a party and how quickly it is over. Taylor’s 2nd birthday party came and went in a blink of an eye! So fast I even forgot to blog about it! I maybe almost a month late but it’s better to be late then never. :)

~ I did my best to keep the food as simple as possible this year; meat and cheese tray, veggies, fruit, dips, etc. For the little kids I made ladybug shaped pb&j’s with a cookie cutter I ordered on EBay. Taylor’s cake and cupcakes were made by my wonderful cousin, Jamie. I purchased the cupcake toppers from a very cute shop, The invitation Chic, on EBay. I made the little girls ladybug goodie bags using Dana’s tutorial over at MADE. I forgot to take a picture, but the boys got a cup full of “mud” as their goodie bag. Which of course was pudding, smashed Oreo’s, and gummy worms in a cup. And for the adults, candy mold ladybug thank you’s. Taylor’s “Love Bug” shirt is from my girlfriends shop, Classy Bowtique. I got her hat from Mamabargains, and it’s made by Lollitops. I made her tutu and sparkly toe Converse’s. Oh, and her invitations. :) Until next year…

Star Wars Birthday Party

I’m absolutely amazed with the technology there is today, children still love a movie from the late 70’s. This year the boys decided they wanted a Star Wars themed friends birthday party. It truly is a classic!

Normally we would have their party at the house, but it has gotten to be to much with all the kids and if it’s raining everyone having to be inside. And then course I’m playing hostess and not actually enjoying my children’s birthday party. Not fun! This year we decided to have their party at Laguna's Awesome Party Palace. The staff was wonderful, great with the kids, set-up everything, served the kids, and even cleaned up. It was by far the BEST decision ever!!

Baby Girls 1st Birthday Party

I don’t know if it had to do with the lack of sleep from the previous weeks events (pack, move, unpack, organize, party planning, school, work, sports, etc.) or the simple fact my baby girl was turning one, but I was an emotional wreck during her party. I could barely say thank you to all our guests without crying! I just wanted everything to be perfect. Perfect for our perfect little girl and perfect for being (most likely) the last 1st birthday party I get to plan. I did not realize all these “last” things would be so hard on me. I’m glad to say it all turned out lovely though.
